    Default Short Trip To Tassie

    Currently I am in Tasmania.

Met up with the wife and niece in Albury, drove to Melbourne where we stayed over night. Got on to a flight early morning and now in a place called Dolphin Point.

We landed in Launceston and drove to a berry farm(Hillwood) where you could pick your own strawberry.

On the way we stopped at a woodcraft store called Windermere Woodcraft. We ended up chatting to this person and found he was a charming fellow an absolute pleasure to talk to.

Our next destination was the Cherry Shed. It was the opposite directions to where we were going to stay but we are on holiday so time means nothing.

Yes we had the Apple and Cherry pie. Not too sweet snd good flavor of the Cherry.

Go to the Lolly Factory behind the Old Mill, Take a walk along the Gorge Walk.

Try as hard as you can to get to Strahan for Huon or down to Huon Valley for timbers

The cherry ice cream and sorbet are pretty good too Christos.
If you have time, do a day trip to Cradle Mountain. Stunningly beautiful. We did the 2 hr walk around Dove Lake and it was wonderful. Highly recommended.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

I will be here until the 20th.

List was just a very quick trip.

Today was spent relaxing in the beach house. And those that think relaxing does not involve a walk along the beach, well well well. About 2.5 hour walk, I will leave it up to you.

    This was last night meal.

Normally you would have dumplings with this filling but the dough can be a little bit more work. We found wonton sheets in the local supermarket and just folded them over.

And to answer Wheelie, we picked up some wood that fitted nicely in the check in baggage.

    Photos in due course.

Now in Albury at the airport waiting for the flight back to Sydney.

It has been a very short trip. Only allowed a short time to be with my wife and niece.
It is a little bit cool here in Albury this morning. Spoke to cabbie on the way to the airport and they told me it has been a little quiet. Of course discussion was also on the weather as most discussion in a cab seem to be that way. Never the less a nice person to talk to.
