Before i met my wife she worked on Norfolk around 1970, she recently went back with a girlfriend on a 1 day flight ex Brisbane, you get about 5 hrs on the island and she said it had not changed much in 40years.
We went to Lord Howe Island for our honeymoon which I enjoyed as I had just moved back to the mainland from Point Lookout on Straddie before we met, Lord Howe had a similar feel as the Point but I suppose all island have that.
