Lap-Sharp Sharpening System
In January, my wife and I visited Cairns, just in time for the typhoon, and then went to Ballarat and Melbourne. We had a great time visiting wineries in the Pyrennes and met a wonderful group of woodworkers at the Melbourne School of Fine Woodworking. Shortly after we returned home, we read about the bush fires and wanted to do something to help. I am donating a Lap-Sharp system plus several options to help to raise money for the fire victims. You will see the posting in the Announcements part of the Forum.
I am making this post to offer to answer any questions that may be raised about the product, as it is not well known in Australia, though we do sell there.
Briefly, the system can provide a coarse grind and hone to a 1 micron finish on both the back and bevel. It has a dual voltage motor, so it does work at 240VAC 50Hz. I know that was a previous question on this forum.
Please let me know if you have any questions about how the system works. I hope this message does not violate forum rules.
