makita wet stone grinder
Is the Makita still available, and are there any others grinders offering a horizontal grinding surface. And any idea of the cost of stones....especially the 6000# for the Makita.
thks.

I went looking for a Makita 9820-2 earlier this year but found that although they were listed in the current Makita catalogue they are no longer available in Aus. A google search shows them as still available in the US but they would be 110V only.
I found a Sharpenset in a Cash Converter store and bought it cheap with the intention of using it freehand but the stone is a bit on the small size for my current technique.
