    Default Millers Falls wet/dry sharpener

    G'day,
Just joined up with eBay and found an ad for a new Millers Falls wet and dry bench grinder. It has a 6 inch dry wheel running at 2950 RPM and an 8 inch wheel running at 134RPM. Does anyone know anything about these? At a price of $70 it seems like a bargain. I am still fitting out my shed and I have a lot of old chisels and a couple of plane blades to sharpen. I am a novice at sharpening but I am looking forward to getting better at it....

It looks like the twin of my GMC one. If so, then it is a decent grinder, and the slow/wet wheel is great. The only thing is that the tool rest on the fast wheel is bad, and there isn't one at all really on the slow wheel (just the edge of the water well). You will need to be prepared to add a tool rest or make one. No problems with the actual grinder though.

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".
