    Default Ozito Drill Bit Sharpener

Ozito has released a high speed metal drill sharpener at $80.00...OK, so you know already.

I brought one as I felt that the next cheaper one was useless, being a fit on a drill type, and the next highest was about $400.

I took it to my engineer mate before I used it to get an assessmant of its useability. He suggested a bit of an inovation like filling a bit off the right hand side of the drill turn clamp, which showed that the heel of the bits picked up some metal, especially in alluminium.

With the filing, we achieved a spiral of metal filing from the drill cut, perfect.

I cannot give you an amount to take off, you must experiment for yourself as there may be some variation in each Ozito sharpening unit. The degree of sharpen that I was looking for was 59 degrees.

The setting up of the bit to sharpen takes some concentration, but the idea works if you have a drill that has been sharpened correctly previously, otherwise you only compound the error of the past sharpen.

It sharpens my drills very well, as far as I use, but I think the blade sharpener is useless. The knife and sissor sharbener works, but not something I would use very much.

All in all, worth $80 for the bits alone.

Well ya' gotta spend it on something!!!!!

I agree with Mark twain "I never could respect a man that can only spell a word one way"
