Replacement diamond tip for Sheppach truing jig
Does anyone know where I might find a replacement diamond chip tip for a scheppach 250 truing jig? Mines got no diamonds left.. The unit is about 20mm long and is threaded to sit in the tool so obviously is made to be replaced.
I'm not sure if the replacement tip is generic (Tormek tip might fit)
As an alternative to truing a wetstone grinder would anyone recommend one of these

held in one of the more general jigs?

I have a similar unit to this for truing AlOx wheels and it's not very flat. I'd suggest this is not ideal for a scheppach with a nice flat wheel. I end up with small grooves in my wheels using this tool.

Tormek dresser works on Scheppach . . .
I couldn't get the Scheppach truing tool without three other bits of gear that I'm not likely to use, so I bought the Tormek tool instead. Works perfectly. But I don't think the Tormek replacement bits will fit the Scheppach tool - at least going by your description.
Anyway, have you tried contacting Hare & Forbes for the Scheppach bit?

Oops!
Sorry, Ashes - my previous message was based on a faulty memory. Hare & Forbes do not carry the Scheppach truing tool. I was thinking of the grader stone.

I had a look at a Tormek truing tool today and the replacement diamond cutter is the same size. I got my local tool man to give Tormek in QLD a call and for $75 they can get a replacement cutter I have a suspicion that the Tormek cutter is pretty much a full length diamond impregnated cutter so good for quite a lot of truing whereas the original cutter supplied on the scheppach jig was only coated on the tip (which ground away quickly).
Still looking.
