I had the same issue many years ago. Asked a Tormek rep at Working With Wood Show one of the things he mentioned was to tighten the jig evenly. That is tighten each knob a bit at a time and not one side fully tightened and then the other.

    Default Update

I have sent the support bar and the SE-76 blade holding jig back to IdealTools a month ago, the original supplier, who confirmed the support bar appeared bent, but using one of his machines with the jig , could not get it to cut straight either. So there are two problems, the support bar and the jig. He is replacing the inserts on the jig to see if that makes a difference, otherwise he will replace the jig.

Taking a while, but hope to get there in the end.

Falcon, on this jig and my Veritas Mk 2 jig, I always tighten them as you indicate, so that the two tightening faces that grip the tool are always parallel
    regards,

    Dengy
