Tormek honing wheel LA-220 actually is 215mm
After we discovered that the Tormek honing wheel LA-220 actual diameter is 215mm, we started a discussion on Tormek forum, with some unexected responses from Tormek

Not sure if this is news to the Tormek community, but actual honing wheel LA-220 diameter is 215 mm.
If you set your honing angle at the 220 mark that is in bold on the AngleMaster, you will inevitably round the edge.
Correct is setting it at 215 mark - as shown by the red line on the photo:

From the discussion on the Tormek forum, this is true for knife blades but not a concern for chisels and plane blades, which would be the main focus of this forum.
The response from Tormek indicated that the setting was deliberate to assist removal of the burr from the edge. The soft nature of the leather wheel and the polishing action, rather than grinding, will not round the edge of a chisel or plane blade.
Setting the WM-200 to 215 will not harm a chisel but it may not remove the burr. A rounded edge is more likely to be the result of freehanding the back of the chisel/plane blade. Those were the droids I was looking for.

...and with the main focus of this forum in mind, what was revealed in that discussion of practical importance, is that the best honing angle for chisels and plane blades is +0.4 to +0.5 degree larger than the angle their edge has been set at.
