    Default Tormek now at LV

    Getting interesting now.

They might even start selling Festool gear http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/pag...90&cat=51&ap=1

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they

I was a fraction of a click away from ordering a planer blade attachment the other day. So glad i didn't. I'll have to throw in a few other things from LV to justify the postage though
Those were the droids I was looking for.

$189 for the black wheel. Tasty, but the postage would prob cost a bomb.

    Just another item where Australians are getting ripped off LV $350 v Aus $570 for a T3 and for a T7 LV $600 v $1,000 .

Has anyone tried importing one from Canada?
I assume there would have to be a power converter and fairly expensive postage but the savings must be fairly substantial.

Hey Chris...maybe look at UK and Europe pricing and shipping first.
...maybe buy a bare bones unit here and accessorize it from OS.

Talk to a local supplier about a deal.

Last I looked T7s were in the $900s here.

For a US unit I expect a transformer would wipe out any price diff.

For hobbyists buying local the price diff. btwn the T3 and T7 makes the former look like a good buy to me.

The T7 is going for Au$573 +P&P at Tormek T7 Water Cooled Sharpening System New Version 2010 and no funny electricity stuff to deal with ! That's a considerable saving even with shipping.

    Yup, good price.

But shipping costs of a T7? They weigh 17kg + packaging. Do you have a quote?

    Busy bee tools in Canada
GRINDER 10IN. WET BENCH CSA - Busy Bee Tools
now have a look alike for the Tormek on sale for 199. Canadian
Grizzly also has a similar model ( made in Germany)
These are probably not the quality of the Tormek but cost less also until you can get a tormek.
