Just search under the Triton list - there is a looooooog discussion of this tool there, along with the eccentric stone problem.

Use a diamond tip dressing tool .
All new grindstones need dressing no matter what grinder they go onto .

im going to order the dressing tool on Monday its just a bit annoying as most things you buy new you expect to be able to use i can understand a bit of oil but having to buy a tool that is 67% the cost of the machine is just plane rude.
the other thing that amazes me is that triton dont evan make the dressing tool so if wasn't for there competitor making one you may as well throw the triton in the bin.
its like buying a ford without an exhaust and saying you need to get it from holden just wouldn't happen, i don't know how Triton get away with it
the true cost of a triton W&D is +- $335 IMHO it would be better to save for the Tormek
after this experience i will never buy triton again. and if anyone is thinking about buying the Triton W&D sharpener...my advice is DONT

I had a very similar problem.
If you don't want to sell it send me your address and I will post you a piece of my dressing stone and your problems will be solved within a couple of minutes.

Kev is correct. Trueing the wheels is an ongoing expense of ALL grinders, wet or dry.
Get the Tormek diamond trueing tool. About $75.

Hi Terry
The local vendors sell it for $123
I bought mine new on eBay (USA). It cost half that. Very reliable. Do a search there.

Hello,
I have found out that absolutely the best way to start dressing a badly eccentric/bumpy wet grinder stone is to use angle grinder with grinding disc (not cutting disc). Saves time a lot.
Metals grinding disc will do for these shop wet grinder stones. Also do it for dry stone, not for wetted stone.
You turn on the wet grinder and keep the running angle grinder so that wheel edge touches the high spots of the turning stone. Proceed gradually until angle grinder wheel starts to have a continuous contact to the stone. After this you use the diamond dresser for wet grinder.
You can do it freehand. You can of course use a piece of 2"x4", long enough you can put it standing in front of the wet grinder and support the angle grinder body against the end of the wood.
It is dusty work. Better do it outdoors.
This technique is especially useful for reviving those old big wet grinder stones you can find in old farm houses. I have currently one of those kind of stones under process. It's weight is about 35 kilos. As soon as I find a motor for it, it's a go.

If it makes you feel any better, I went through a similar thing. I had the Scheppach for a weekend, returned it on the Monday and bought a Tormek. There's a thread somewhere that describes it all.
Can't you just return yours?

I think I was the last person to post on this topic on the other thread (have a look in the Triton forums)
I bought the Scheppach for about $250 from H and F around July this year. No Tritons were available, although I see they are now available for about $199.
I COULDN"T BELIEVE the 'wobble' visible in the stone, but after careful measurement, I confirmed it wasn't run-out, it's caused by an unevenly ground stone that gives the appearance of run-out.
So I bought a $20 diamond dresser, and by fitting it into a homemade jig managed to dress the stone to 'closer to round'. The next bit surprised me, even though the stone clearly wasn't totally even, it still did a pretty fair job of sharpening a chisel, provided I put on an accurate, square, final micro-bevel using my Veritas jig. The micro-bevel was visibly slightly different from the primary bevel however this didn't seem to affect the chisel performance noticeably.
Not satisfied with this, I bought the diamond truing tool from Tormek and now have a wheel that's pretty true, producing adequate results and good edges once I've applied the microbevel.
My final advice SAVE THE MONEY, SAVE THE HASSLE, BUY THE TORMEK
this is one of those cases where the extra cost is worth it.
