    Default Saw vice advice needed

    G'day guys,
    I have just bought a heap of old tools and I found a saw vice within all the tools. Just wondering if anyone had any info on this.

    Default Disston saw vice

    Appears to be a Henry Disston. Fairly common, and not much use for saw sharpening without also having a set of slim taper files and a saw set like the Stanley No42.

    They make good stitching ponys if your into leather work. Just make up some soft jaws for it.

    I recieved heaps of filed and even a the saw set with the massive lot of tools I bought.

    Yes I'm. Jealous, I use a bit of wood with a slit in it as my saw vice.
