If older nicad - after market batteries off eBay
Or get a new cordless combo impact and drill set - makita it Milwaukee with 5 amp hour batteries .
I actually did both. The new drills with li ion batteries really are great and I use those in the field . But I couldn’t bear to waste a couple of good drills with dead batteries .$55 odd bucks off eBay and I got a pair of batteries so I can have a dedicated couple of drills in the workshop
If it’s pure economics though, get a new drill set when they are on special as the new batteries are heaps better
