Artisan Combo
Hi all,
New here so If I use some incorrect terminology please bear with me.
I'm now the owner of an Artisan Combination Home Joiner Buzzer/ Circular Saw/Planer.
I plan to manufacture a set of timber steps and rails leading down into a cellar, not sure on what timber to use as yet?
I wonder if anyone has one of these machines might I be in touch regarding set up, depth of cut etc.etc.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gary.

not familar with your unit but the principles are surely the same as any other machine.... can I suggest you get some cheap pine and play around to workout your desired needs ? the rest is just joinery - there are books available that discuss stair manufacture in detail...
stairs can be made from whatever timber you like - eg hardwoods, MDF, even pine in a pinch if no great weight is expected and you dimension the timber size accordingly - whatever floats your boat really...

Zed mate - stop being right will ya?
It's a lot more fun when you're wrong and the rest of us can apply some "conditioning"

Artisan/Stairs
Yeah!
Thanks gents. Zed the knowledge you possess for one so young (1year).......I'm amazed!Ha!Ha! I just got this machine home and while it's still on the trailer blew the motor and anything else covered in sawdust, out with compressed air. Hooked the power up, checked everything was clear and switched on....yep sings like a bird! and no abnormal noises.
Can you recommend a book that emphasizes the manufacture of timber steps?
As far as what timber to use? I suppose hardwoods generally would be the more expensive and more difficult to machine, maybe harder on the buzzer blades, but look pretty good when all finished?
Regards,
Gary
