Battery Question - Cordless tools
Hey Guys,
My brother has had to rush to the UK with his wife to deal with a crisis in her family and could be gone 3 months.
He is a plumber and has left his work ute with me while he's gone - in the ute is a heap of Milwakee 18v gear.
Are the batteries okay sitting so long or should I be using them to cycle the batteries - I don't want him to get back and find all his batteries are stuffed.
Cheers

Cycling is unnecessary but if you want to be super nerdy then 3/4 charge them and then put them in a cool place (not fridge - but in the coolest room in your house eg where you keep you wine . Heat (eg in the back of the ute) will long term lower their charge carrying capacity.

As Bob said, avoid heat. Here's a good article on care of Lithium Ion tool batteries.
