Bosch DIY tools
Has anyone out there used/bought any of the Bosch DIY power tools?
If so how are they? I have always had a soft spot for Bosch but as soon as a company starts a range of DIY tools I tend to back up & do a bit of investigation..................
Nice green colourCatch ya later,

As far as a DIY range is concerned, the green bosch tools are good. I've got a cordless drill, ROS sander, and reciprocating saw. All of them were made in Switzerland and have served me well.

Yup.. I'd suggest that Bosch's DIY tools are as good as some other companies 'professional' stuff
I have a green Bosch jigsaw and belt sander, both have worked well for several years. I guess they are comparable to the DeWalt stuff in terms of feel and construction?
Cheers

Thats excellent, all positive signs. How about the Malaysian made tools? I think that the new ones are being made there now.......... I hope that they maintain their quality control................ Just bought a 12v dril psr 1200 very pleased at the moment............ One thing that has really pleased me is the fact that the handle isn't gorilla sized....... My hands aren't that large so some of those newer tools (most brands), particularly the 18 & 24v ones are a little uncomfortable. This one feels good!

I've got one of their delta sanders made is switzerland. I believe it is no longer available. It's had a real workout and is still going strong.

I have a sheet sander, random orbital sander and a planer in the green range and they are all very good performers and easy to handle. I am not sure how Malaysian-made tools would compare.

I use a mix of Bosch green(Hobby) and blue(pro/trade) and have not had any problems. I would always go for the blue if funds permitted but the green are fine if theyre not being usesd all day, every day.
My last purchase was the little Ixio lithium driver which is very useful.
Over the years Ive also found the Bosch people to be exteremely helpful.

I also have a 1/2" hammer drill. An absolute champion, 12 years old, regularly abused, good as ever.
Both tools are Bosch, green and made in Switzerland. It's not a new initiative.

Bosch tools
I own a bosch green hammer drill. I've had it for about 10 years and its a bit older than that. it never misses a beat and is able to handle everything I throw at it.

650watt green fugly Bosch variable hammer drill, was cheap (on special at time) has been abused, misused and got real hot a few times, so far indestructible 10+ years on .
Still hate their routers though.Bruce C.

Green hammer drill, model number was something like csb550re. Finally killed it after 10+ years of hard work. I ended up getting a makita to replace it with, only because the bosch models to choose from at the shop had keyless chucks and I'm not big on keyless.
