    Default Bosch Professional GOF/GKF 1600 CE 😡

Was using my B 1600 CE mounted in my router table early this evening and noticed it was vibrating a bit.
Router Bit was a 1/4 shank 7.9 mm straight bit ie not a huge bit of steel.
But none the less, I could feel and hear it wasn't running right.
So popped it out of the table still mounted to the lift.
Checked to make sure it wasn't loose on the lift and find that it still tight to the lift plate. But
    then find the problem arrrrrrr.

So luckily I think, I just check my other B 1600 CE router, yes confession time I have three routers!but two are used for work so I can justify them.
    Well that's my excuse anyway.

Bloody afflimamities(I made that word up) same problem now I'm getting a bit frustrated.
And we're talking $1000 worth of gear hear.
They both wobble on their pillar both same pillar.
The pillar with the on/off button.
Has anyone else noticed this problem and do you have a fix.
Both routers are over two years old now.
But both would have less than 15 hours use each.

Very short video and watch the red line in relation to the body.

Just trying to get video on [emoji849]

    Matt, I cannot help you with your issue . . . but I have 4 routers and a spindle moulder . . . and I predominately am a turner

If I remember correct, the GOF 1600 was made with the US market in mind, and has a motor unit that can be fitted to either a plunge or fixed base. I think it was sold in a fixed base model in the US because router lifts are so popular there. For use with a router lift the fixed base would be a cure, if you can find one. There's a post on productreview that says you can use a Bosch MR23 fixed base with the Aussie GOF1600, so maybe look at Amazon US? Though if you have a Jessem router lift you could probably clamp the motor in it and throw the plunge base away

The fixed base model no. is MRF01 if that helps. Also, while looking for that I came across a comment which said the right hand plunge pillar has a brass bushing but the left doesn't which results in the wobble you describe. I'm guessing that would be a bush in the fan housing which slides on the pillars. Not sure if that is fixable, but it's worth a look.
