    Default carbon brush supplier

I need to replace the carbon brushes in my GMC angle grinder, but GMC are defunct of course, so I'm looking all sorts of places for replacements.

Aliexpress had some very close in size, but just not quite close enough. The issue is where to buy them in Australia, or anywhere else really.

Mine are 19mm wide x 7mm thick, and when new were probably 16~18mm long. I can source 17mm wide ones off Aliexpress for only $2.50 a pair, but I suspect that being 2mm narrower it might slop about .

It is proving impossible to find any brushes wider than 17mm at all.
    All suggestions gratefully received.

    Default Imperial brush measurements

Remember when we went decimal? I grew up with imperial inches and gallons, but today I have been looking to get some replacement carbon brushes for my angle grinder, and this is how they are listed on one website

    *5/8" x 19/64" x 7/32" DC Electric Motor Carbon Brush*

I'm very grateful we don't still have to put up with this kind of nonsense.
