The Makita Website shows the following model sizes
    https://www.makita.com.au/products/c.../circular-saws

    1 x 160 mm
    4 x 185 mm
    1 x 210 mm
    3 x 235 mm
    1 x 270 mm

The 210mm is 1800W and only 600g heavier than the 185 and could be a good compromise between the 185 and 235mm.
Can't see it at Bunnings though.

The 210mm one Bob mentioned does look good but as I needed it on monday and wasweld wasn't even open I bought the 1200w 185mm for value ($98) from bunnings. I'll let you know if it cops it ha. For less than half the price I couldn't resist.

    Thanks for your help.
