Dewalt 925 arrived from USA
Hi Guys, Just wanted to share my joy of buying my first ever cordless drill. I've recently been getting by on an old very well used hitachi cord drill hand-me-down) , which hasn't been pleasent when chaging over drill bits and the like especially when it takes 2-5 minutes to get the chuck tightener out of the chuck
Anyway i purchased a new Dewalt XRP 925 and battery for $230 delivered. It took around 10 days to arrive. I ended up buying 4 drills and battery for my neighbour and 2 mates so $920 in total.
I fired it up 2nite and sounds fantastic, only problem is i have nothing to drill yet and it seem to be interrupting the wife's tv viewing .
I'll be finishing off my merbau and brush fence this weekend so it shoudl be a great test.

You wont be disapointed its a great drill, I to bought one from america and it worked great for 4 months of every day use then the gears burnt out while driving some bolts doing stud flooring work. Anyway long story short I had to buy another one as these US models dont come with a warrenty. This time I bought one of ebay from melbourne for $250 brand new with australian 3 year warrenty

I too have a DC925...just wondering if any of you guys had a problem with the torque setting? When I set the torque control collar to #1, the torque seemed to be very strong. I countersank a #6 screw while putting together a shelf. I had to be very careful inserting a self screwing drywall screw. While using the drill..the torque was so powerful that it stripped the drywall screw where one would insert a philips head.
I had the gear set at the 2 position. Shouldn't the torque control limit the drill for this purpose..especially at #1.
