Default where to get drill bit holder?

    Hey guys,

I am after a drill bit holder. Ie a box/tray thingy that has all the holes for each size drill bit, and u stand the drill bit up in it! i hope u know what i am talking about!!

Bunnings have a round one, but i m hoping to find a rectangular one and cheap would be good too!
also it needs to be metric!

so has anyone seen one around?

    Cheers

Just get a piece of timber the size and shape you want, use the drill bits you have to drill the holes and they will fit perfectly.

i have done that before, but i have found that the drill bits fit really tightly. thast the main reason i want to buy one instead. But that may be my best bet!

You could drill holes with all the bits you have and then put each bit in the next size up hole.
Put the 10mm in the 10.5mm hole, the 10.5mm in the 11mm hole etc.
This will work for all but your largest drill bit for which you will not have a larger hole

They may have been tight previously because of the wood swelling.
If this is the case, buy a cheap plastic cutting board, cut it into multiples of the final size you want the block to be, stack and glue/screw them together then drill the holes in that.

    Cheers, Jack
