I bought an elcheapo Ryobi power drill in about 1986 which had a one year warrantee. It blew up after abour 11 months, so I thought i'd see if they would come good. To my surprise they sent it off to be repaired and the bloody thing is still going!! When I first got it back, I didn't think it would last long so I threw everything at it.
It rattles a bit, (and I have only used it occassionally in the last 10 years) but it still works fine.

my ozito RHD, has done at least 40 or 50 hrs by now, mainly demolition, and has never misseda beat. I killed a friends GMC version in 1 day (returned for a new one )

on th topic of cheapies, I got myself the other day, a GMC 235mm cso11 - which is a copy of the dewalt 230mm circular saw - its very adjustable, and very square out of the box - so far doing well, although havent tried it with a fence for a long smooth cut yet, but feels solid and accurate. Cheap tools that are mains operated and simple work well - grinders etc are enormously simple devices and its hard to contemplate how a ???? brand can justify $380 for a motor that just spins a disc?

Default I mentioned this in another thread but I'll post it here too.

I finally managed to damage my $69 Ozito Rotary Hammer last week.

I got a 10mm bit jammed on some reo in a concrete slab & I think I have broken a tooth in the gearbox.
It still drills OK but sometimes it sticks in the one spot & stops rotarying, it just hammers.

It has been going strong for more than 3 years now so I can't complain really.

I went & bought a new one, they are $79 now for the 850W model.
    Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.
