    Default Fein Multimaster Discounted

This may have been posted elsewhere but just noticed that Carba-Tech have some Multimaster sets on special until 31.12.08.

    http://www.carbatec.com.au/specials

Not sure of their Christmas opening hours but may be able to order online.

Now I only have to decide whether to get one of these or the set of Stahlwille ring spanners which are also on special at AIS.

So many tools so little money!!

That looks a good price, but do a web search first - there are plenty of deals at or around that price or less and with no time limit eg:

    http://www.norwesttools.com.au/page/...word//offset/0
    $419

    and

    http://www.vektools.com.au/fein-mult...r-c-36_68.html
    $390

And for web purchases look at postage & delivery charges which can quickly sap away any perceived bargain.

With the Fein gear you have to really be careful to look at what is included too as I have seen kits with the same name, but with fewer or more accessories than others or accessories of differing value.

Sydney tools has the Top set for $500. Just purchased the unit on Saturday morning and cant wait to use it. Bought it specifically for a job tomorrow for some air conditioning installations and cutouts! Cant tell you how excited I am!

I'd be interested to see what is included in the 'Top' set they send you and if it matches the Top set that Fein lists here:

    http://www.fein.de/corp/uk/en/products/catalogue.php

When doing my research I noticed that while others at a higher prices matched this list Sydney Tools web ad had fewer or different accessories.

Fein's Top kit comes with all the accessories in the Start kit plus those in the Select Kit and a bit more.

I emailed Sydney Tools seeking a confirmation of the list for their Top kit on their website and after a week have had no reply.

It would be good if you could confirm that the Fein Top Kit you get has the same accessories as Fein itself list for that kit - if it is a full Top Kit I'll get one myself at that price.

    Thanks
    Bloss

    Gday Bloss,

I apologise for my tardiness in being able to form any sort of reply, but I used it today for the first time to cut out a notch in a cupboard door for our air conditioning pipes to go through and used the sander to make it all neat. Upon inspecting the kit, it seemed that all thats included in the UK top selection was included in mine from Sydney Tools. The packaging is exactly the same and theres nothing to event present an argument as to it being otherwise!

Hope that helps Bloss! If you want one, they have it at the best price I found. Only problem is, once I visited the UK site I no want the battery operated one, as the majority of my tools are battery powered for convenience!

Many thanks for that - I'll now pop on and order one from them.

The battery one would be OK if Li-Ion which I guess it would be - but that would add to the price greatly. Again - thanks for your reply.

Bugger - price up $50 since last week , but still best deal around so I have ordered a TOP set. Decided to buy a couple of other items and they gave me std $20 postage and with the deal on other gear saved more than the increase anyway. Thanks again for the help though.
