Default GMC mitre saw request

Hi all,
i have a request please that might be a long shot, but just in case someone has a wrecked GMC compound mitre saw that's only good for parts, i'm looking for a motor armature (rotor) for a Model: MS212 1400Watt 210mm to repair mine.
It has stripped the gear that is integral with the motor shaft end, so replacing the whole armature seems to me the easiest way to repair it.
Willing to pay a reasonable ammount for the part, or a complete dead saw if anyone can help - just to make it a usable tool again.

Thanks,
greg_n

Thanks metester,
i'd appreciate it

Thanks FX, i'm not sure about the LS210 - a few other later model saws than mine i've seen have different motors but i can't find much info on the LS210 - i think they're pretty specific but i'll let you know if i can confirm.

Cheers,

Hi. It seems it is not the one. It has SMS210LS 1500W on the name plate. However, if you still want it and can organise a courier to pickup it is all yours. I will be happy to move it on. It works fine mechanically however, I have stopped using it as the safety guard keeps catching and long story short.....I had enough of fixing it!! I have found Smartsend to be quite good as a courier.

Cheers

You could try GPT, Ghebrial Power Tools 1860 Hume Hwy, Campbellfield VIC 3061(03) 9357 6168.

No association etc, but they were able to supply me with an original gasket for my GMC framing nailer within a couple of days for a good price.

I was told that they bought all the spares from GMC when they went under, and they have stacks of used GMC tools (some just for parts) on their shelves.

Cheers

Thankyou guys for all the offers and advice, as i said it was a long shot

Without seeing the motor removed from the saw it's impossible to tell which other models might fit but if i work anything out i'll re-post.

Cheers,
