Hitachi c7mfa guard return spring

I have a Hitachi c7mfa circular saw and some years ago the blade guard return spring broke and the saw went into the cupboard. I've recently pulled it out along with another even older Hitachi saw (Z series), and wanted to see if the return spring from the older saw would fit the c7mfa. The problem is that I can't see where the spring attaches to the body of the c7mfa.
Has anybody got one that they can check for me?

Jeez Lappa,
I don't know whether to thank you or say that you owe me a beer for having to sit through that.

I had found the exploded parts diagram which does show the spring, just not where it attaches to the body.
My saw is also a different model to that in the video, and the spring attaches differently.

i have a Makita and the return spring and guard looks exactly like the hitachi diagram and attaches the same as in the video. Seemed to be a common theme among circular saws. That’s the reason I posted.
