Am I the only one that thinks the Mik website costs them a fortune in lost business? I dislike navigating around it and find things difficult to locate.

I note that on the "About Mik" page they mention they have limited resources to devote to the website but I think that should be reconsidered. If other companies prioritised on that basis (Rockler, LV, CT etc) most of us would have never heard of them.

Virtual shopping is the future and not devoting energy to it may cost them dearly. That's my 2c worth anyway.

Back on topic though, I didn't find the specials page as it isn't linked on the Home Page. No, wait, there it is - in the combo box for "product category" - what is it doing in there?

Try the sawtooth bits. You won't find better prices anywhere in the world.

No you're not; it's very kludgy. Eveyone who wants to sell online should emulate amazon.com. That website just seems to know what I'm looking for, and makes buying a breeze. I think the key is to put *lots* of information (without glitz) up front, rather than having to navigate from page to page in teeny steps, each page containing only 1 chisel set, one clamp, etc: put *all* the chisels on one page, then we can compare. Then do something like amazon's one-click buy-now, and it's done. Wayyyyy too easy to spend money.

The lee valley site is pretty ordinary as well. I haven't bought anything from them since I left the US three years ago, the whole postage thing was way too complicated. When I was there, I relied on their printed catalogue.

Lie nielsen's website is better, but still not as good as amazon.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them . . . well, I have others.
