I'm quite taken with Metabo duo, but have also been eyeing the Makita Ros too.
cheers

I borrowed the mates Metabo Duo, a great bit of gear, then about 4 weeks ago I bought the model up the Metabo Duo Turbo - it leaves it's lesser model for dust (no pun intended)

I generally buy Bosche or DeWalt tools. I dont know if you can get either in Australia.

I have had the Metabo for a couple of years & been very pleased with performance. Dual amplitude is a good feature.
Cheers

We definitely get DeWalt and Bosche here.
Metabo Duo Turbo - noted! Thanks Waldo
I have to confess I like the Makita range a lot. I own 5 Makita tools and each one is sturdy, robust, etc. But there is more out there than just Makita.
cheers

Dear km,
Like Carl Weisyboy, I've got a Makita as well (a BO5021) and it's beaut, but I'm just wondering...
If you've been tuned into the Triton forum at all of late, you might have read some of the threads there about the BigB clearance of all of their Triton gear. Some great prices, that's for sure. Why don't you have a look at the Triton ROS on their website, see if you like the specs, and then perhaps ring your local BigB and ask them whether they've still got some in stock. Don't necessarily believe the price they quote you over the phone, because some of this stuff is only showing the discounted price when it's run past a scanner...
Good Luck whichever way you go,
Batpig.

Australian Wood Review just did a review of a few ROS in the current addition.
Conclusion was either the Metabo Duo Turbo or Festool ETS150/3.
Others tested included GMC, AEG and Ryobi.
As a Metabo Duo user I am quite happy. Now proudly sponsored by Binford Tools. Be sure to check out the Binford 6100 - available now at any good tool retailer.
