One of the blokes at work recently bought one (carpenters)....seems reasonable however i find the slide is often in my eyeline when eyeballing where I'm wanting to cut. It could be because I'm a short ass, but certainly worth looking at before fishing out the $$$
Other than that it certainly works like it's supposed to"All the gear and no idea"

Thanks Gabriel
That seems to be the general opinion from reviews I have read mainly from the US.
An interesting twist here in OZ or maybe only in NSW it is available in 2 models LS 1019 and LS 1019 L the same saw except the L model has the laser and is only sold by Sydney Tools who also sell the other model.
The L model with the laser is $50.00 cheaper something Makita or Sydney Tools can't Explain.
Cheers
Rick.

Quite a flexible saw by the specs. 48° L&R bevel and 60° mitre each way.
