    Default Metabo KGS 315 Plus

Does anyone own a Metabo KGS 315 Plus. Can't find many reviews on them besides a few promos on Youtube from the company and a few from Russian users. As you can probably guess Russian isn't my 1st language

    Regards Paul .

The Belgians and the Germans seem to like it. Google translate is your friend

Can't help you with the 12 inch but I have a 254 plus and can recommend it thoroughly. As you are probably aware Metabo have been purchased by Hitachi but there will be plenty of German built higher end models still in stock for some time. Things I like about the 254 - great dust extraction (although it is a sliding mitre so with a dust extractor connected I probably pick up about 80%. If you want better than that you need to build a custom shroud) Very good accuracy and repeatable accuracy providing you set it up properly (zero cleance tape and zero clearance fences -which will reduce your maximun width of cut) Mitre stops are accurate and the blade provided (probably a Leitz) with the saw (60t) provides very smooth cuts. Downsides - there are no bevel indents so you need you need a electronic bevel box to set bevels and return to 90 degrees after bevels. The saw blades need to have the two positioning holes for the Metabo quick replacement system so you will be limited to Metabo factory blades. Overall it's a pretty good all rounder.

If they're just round holes, a saw doctor will be able to add them to any blade you like if you provide a sample to copy

I followed the first link that elanjacobs posted: the blurb says that the 315 is designed for trade use (the other two models
presumably aimed more at hobbyists by implication).
Guess, coming from Metabo, that means that it'll be pretty robust.

They are round holes so you are correct. A good saw doctor could modify any blade to fit the system without comprising the integrity of the blade.
