Have a look at Rockler, I bought a nail/metal detector from them last year cheaper than local even including postage from the US and the service was exceptional

I got mine from Lee Valley four weeks ago. $39-00. Plus 2 airfares to Vancouver, 6 weeks hotels, 7 day inside passage cruise, 5 days rest & recuperation in Japan.
Cost a bit over the top, but the memories are worth it.

I have a little gray detector from carbatec & it seems to be quite good. Its far more sensitive to small metal than my stud finder. It is more vague about the actual location but if you want to find nails it will tell you they are there.
Poke with a pointy thing to see precisely.

I to/too/two (bloody english language) am looking for a metal detector and as I am heading down to Carbatec on Saturday I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who has tried the Carbatec version. Thanks in advance.

I bought the Jaycar one - looks like a miniature tennis racquet... Works very well, has saved my thicknesser and saw blades a number of times.

I ordered mine from their web site. Just had a look but couldn't find it so you might be out of luck. I think it was a special when I bought mine.
You don't know who Howard Molson is? He's the bloke who bought a new shovel. I saw him put it next to the other one!"I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

If you want to know who howard molison is first ask who eric olthwate is & why he would be interested in howard molison's shovel and the model number.
