Alltools have them listed under "snips" http://www.alltools.com.au/products.html

I Know Blackwoods supply but they are usually expensive. I got my last pair at Blackwoods Shepparton. Bunnings and Mitre 10 are in the same stable as Blackwoods, so one presumes they can also supply.

Thanks for the update on the Gilbow shears. Just had a look at the all tools web site you mentioned and found out these following prices.

GBRH11 GILBOW G69 TIN SNIP-OFFSET RIGHT HANDED 11" (275MM) EA $70.34
GBRH14 GILBOW G691 TIN SNIP-OFFSET RIGHT HANDED 14" (350MM) EA $96.68

Another question for you Grue (or any one who cares to contribute) With the Gilbow tin snips, what thickness do you think you can comfortably cut stainless steel by hand?

Yes, not cheap, but neither is good eating lobster!

I've cut 16 gauge stainless with them. thats about 1.6mm, it builds the finger strength up though.

any thicker, or intricate shape look into chemical etching.
