Very odd mis-alignment problem...
I have a TS250 with a sliding table - and the sliding table runs out by almost 2mm from front to back...
Blade and Fence are both aligned to mitre channel... almost perfect...
With sliding table fence at operator, dist between sliding table fence and fixed fence is 12mm (benchmarked with 12mm thick stick - tight)
With sliding table fence past blade, dist between sliding table fence and fixed fence is 14mm (12mm benchmark stick - slack as...)
Result is a << 90 degree cut
So if I make a cut - and then flip it over - it makes another cut...
Got me beat...
Far as I can see, the runner bar for the slider seems parallel... locked in by steel plugs, so can't alter it anyway
Bit of play in the central elbow joint - I suspect that may be the problem.
Can someone put me on the right track please...
Or is it a warranty issue...
Thanks in anticipation

I would suggest adjust your crosscut fence 1st - (squaring fence) - it may look as if at a true 90 degrees but this I would think is the issue - pull the fence off and examine if their is any adjustments - cam or grub screw at end of frame - and use a reasonable sized bit of board to cut all 4 sides and on the 5th cut a strip 5mm over - break strip in half and the cental bit to meet up with end of the orginal strip and should be even- if not out of sq (bit hard to explain) how ever if still difficulties or can't see any adjustments you should go back to who you bought off and req they explain or do for you...regards mr wood

If you can't adjust the bar to make the slider run parallel to the fixed fence, can you adjust the table to make the fixed fence/mitre slot parallel to the bar?
P.S. Never seen one of these machines up close.Dan

Hi Dan
Aye - considered that on friday while I was scratching me head...
Might come down to that - but thought I'd post and ask to see if anyone had an easier solution...
Thanks though

Thanks Mr Wood
The sliding fence sits on a round bar which is bolted to the machine and also has spring steel pegs which site it...
A platform runs along the round bar guided by four wheels... well each wheel has a nut and bolt - a double-flat "thingy" and a hex bolt underneath... I tried fiddling with these but the only adjustmenrt seemed to be vertical, either lets the wheels run free or locks em up... The sled attaches to a channel in the platform with two T-bolts...
Can't see any adjusting screws, cams etc...
Also, got the same measurements (2mm out at far end) when just the platform attached - so not the sled...
Like Dan said... maybe the table-top is out of alignment with the round bar - but 2nd thoughts, the round bar is sited to the table top by two-at-each-end steel spring pegs that you align and then bash into place before tightening the three-at-each-end hex screws...
Curious that this only seems to have developed in the past 4 - 6 weeks... Explains why I'm on my third attempt at my daughter's microwave/kitchen stand - which measures 425 dead at the top of the front face and 423 at the bottom... Only discovered this error on my TS while trying to adjust the bottom drawer (width 400) to fit across 423 as it was too tight... went to resaw the drawer and found the 2mm error...
Hope someone can help...
Jedo

Hmmm...
People's posts have been helpful in stimulating the problem-solving area of my brain...
I mentioned that the middle "joint" of the support arm has some play... well quite a bit of play actually...
Another thing I noticed (on friday) was that the fence 'almost' touches the tabletop at the front, but rises as it goes towards the back, and is pretty clear of the tabletop behind the blade...
So... I'm thinking that as the sled moves from front to back, the wobbly joint is causing the sled to 'sink' when it goes from a narrow angle (front) to a right-angle (behind blade), resulting the sled being pulled away from the tabletop by 2mm...
Does that sound feasible..?
If it does sound feasible - then what's the solution? - A replacement joint or bushing..? (I know nowt about metal and joints and bushes...)
Sorry to be a pain
