Thread: Plunge router - Bosch vs makita

This could well be a bargain buy. Normal retail is about the same as the Bosch and Makita.
If I had a need for a 1/2" variable speed router, and the space for one I would seriously be looking at this. One item it does not appear to have is a fine adjustment.

Please note I have not used or seen this unit. I have no interest in the business except as a customer.

To work out if a router is suitable for a router table insert plate, and be able to change the bit from the top, would I just see if the plunge mechanism on the router plunges so that the collet goes under the base?
