Default Restoration of Wolf RS10A 10" Circular Saw

Seems ok but at the very least will require oiling. I don't have much time these two weeks but hopefully after I can inspect the brushes and the motor itself and potentially partially dissemble the saw for cleaning and oiling.
Some pictures of the current state of the saw. I've only just bought it off ebay so not had much time to inspect. If all goes well I might also build a mount so I can optionally use this upside down as a table saw. SOmething similar to this project by Matthias Wandel. Homemade table saw build (version 1)

G'Day Joni, Good to see your project on the forum...
Did you send an email or "pm" to "gerhard" the tool guru in the "wolf tools thread" asking some of the your questions...every send the link to this thread so he hopefully answers here.

    I've done so now thanks.

I've cleaned the saw and started using it to cut some loft boards.
It cuts nice and straight. A little hesitation on starting but otherwise it runs very nicely.

    Default Ringing to a stop

Looks like it bites the blade guard a bit as it slows down. I noticed because it makes a ringing noise.

Edited to add picture and show project.

When doing long full thickness cuts through the 2x4 the saw encounters a lot of resistance. Not sure whether this is rust on the blade, weak motor, or the blade guard sticking instead of swinging away.
