Default SCM R9 Overhead Router anyone??

Just wondering if anyone has used or knows anything about the SCM R9 Overhead Router. My dad is looking at buying one and asked if I could 'ask around' for people's opinions.

The main thing that I am wondering about is how is the spindle driven and this particular one has a hydraulic powerpack inside the base which looks factory fitted but I can't tell from the photos what it is for (sorry I don't have the photos to show).

    Thanks in advance.
Have a nice day - Cheers

    Hi Wood Butcher,

I just stumbled across this forum, I have a SCM R9 Router, that i want to sell, is your dad still looking for one?? you probably know by now the spindle is belt driven & has 2 speeds 10,000rpm, & 20,000rpm, the plunger is air operated not hydraulic & is controlled by a foot operated pedal. it is 3 phase also, table is able to tilt to 45 degrees I think from memory. let me know if you are still after one or know of anyone who is looking for one. unfortunately this one is up for sale.

    Cheers Tim

    Tim,

That machine was bought and sold (at a nice profit) many months ago. It did have a hydraulic unit inside it to drive the rotary table that was attached. A monster of a mchine but ran sweet as.

    Cheers
