Thumbs up Peacock's is the place to go

    G'day,

I saw the post and thought, "Yep I know of a place, Peacocks at Westend", then I come in here and knucklhead has beaten me to it.

So I'll 2nd knucklehead's post. They've been there for donkeys and highly recommend them.
I make things, I just take a long time.

Any thing with sharp teeth eats meat.
    Most powertools have sharp teeth.
    People are made of meat.
Abrasives can be just as dangerous as a blade.....and 10 times more painfull.

Well they've been there for people who know a bit as well, not just donkeys!!

In fact they've been there 70 years this year, so they must be doing something right!

By the way, knowing it wouldn't be worth doing but I'd ask anyway, I plucked up the courage to enquire about re-toothing my old broken Diston, and they told me that a complete cut, set and sharpen would set me back anything up to SIXTEEN DOLLARS! (So guess who's going to have a working saw again one day soon?)

    Cheers,

    P

Thanks very much for the replies. Peacock Saws are the closest to me so I will go over there today. It is so good to be able to get advice from people in the know.
