    Default US and UK forwarding agents

    Hi all;
    Have searched the posts but have been unable to come up with too many specifics about using overseas forwarding agents to obtain lower priced tools and accessories shipped to us in Australia. Just wondering if any one has used the following in the UK ??
    AlfaSent - Home
    For example a 4kg package 40x30x15 cm is about 48 pounds($77AUD) via DHL (4-6 days)

    or;
    USA
    USA2ME, RV Mail Forwarding Services, Remailing, US Mailing Address, Mail Receiving Forwarding

    MyUS.com | U.S. Mail Forwarding, Worldwide Shipping

    US Mail Package Forwarding, Virtual Office and Personal shopper

    USPS shipping about $70AUD for 4.kg parcel international global express - trackable

    Have imported stuff over the years from on-line sellers, but am lately finding more manufacturers not allowing export of their goods from USA and UK. Won t mention any names here. Some of the agents are free with charge per service, and some charge a small fee for service monthly - suppose you get what you pay for.

    Any thoughts let me know.
    cheers

    Default MyUS

    I was overseas when I needed to get some stuff shipped to Australia. I originally used BongoUS, but switched to MyUS, and would recommend anyone considering Bongo, really, really reconsider. MyUS had actual people who knew their stuff contact me, whereas Bongo stuffed up my order and refused to let me speak to a manager to make a complaint. It wasn't until I posted a web review that a "manager" contacted me, nearly two months later, and asked me to remove my review off the third-party site. In return they offered me a free "subscription" to their site. MyUS.com - I can't recommend them enough over other similar services.

    Probably dependant if they already have a dealer in Australia or not? I know from first hand experience that Oneida will no longer ship to Australia any products from their range that is available through Carbatec due to their dealer agreements.

    A few places are adopting this approach lately to stop people like us securing their goods cheaper than their local dealers will supply them.

    For items that aren't distributed to Australia though, not being able to get them here is beyond me.

    Having a few friends in America usually does the trick for me

    I've just started using Borderlinx. They offer both a UK and a US address in the one registration.

    I looked at MyUS but went with Borderlinx as they seemed a cheaper option for the services offered and also offer a 10% discount on charges for Visa card holders.

    I am expecting my first package on Tuesday, delivery time from US 6 days.
