Default Trust opinion of the informed

The Infinity Dadonator has won editors choice in all major US based magazines this year, there must be something they are doing right.

They are on a special at the moment on Northwood Tool web site here: http://www.northwoodtools.com.au/category238_1.htm

Get $50 cashback on a $400 dollar order for any Infinity Products including a Dadonator (and get a 6 month subscription to Austraian Wood Review magazine on top of that FREE !)
Details on front page of web site of this offer: http://www.northwoodtools.com.au/index.htm

    Neither,

I would get the Freud dial dado. US$250ish (AUD$325) plus, say $50 post. not much more than the CMT or Dadonator for a better bit of kit IMO. If you want some links, I'll post em.

    Hi Render,

I just can't find a dado with an arbor of 25.4 mm. The Dadonator looks very good, but just 5/8"?

    Cheers!

Search Amazon for an "SD 608 Dial a Dado" for the best deals.

    Harry,

The CMT is a really fine blade. Have not used the other.

YEARS ago I bought a 6" Freud Super Dado, have never had to replace it and have only wish I purchased the 8" once over the years since 90% of me dadoes are about 3/8" deep.
    Blessings,

I am upgrading to the Dadonator at the moment.
The dial-a-dado looks good but you can't use the outside blades with a spacer to cut tenons. May not be an issue for you Harry so it could be the way to go.

    Mark,

Have just ordered a CMT 6" dado set. Are you saying that your 6" dado set can't cut 3/8" deep? If that's right, maybe I should go to an 8" set. On my reckoning, a 6" dado should cut to about 1" deep. Anybody else able to clarify this?

    Cheers
