This one is made out of 100 mm PVC pipe and black poly irrigation fittings

Black poly plug, T piece with hose barb on side arm.
T piece is threaded into PVC screw cap and has a PVC nut on the other side

    PVC body
200 mm of 100 mm siam PVC.
Glue a PVC male end onto the top and an end cap on the bottom.
You can also glue the top on but a threaded top enables the internal nuts on the black polly fittings to be retightened if required.

    Bottom:
Same black Poly T piece as top with 20 mm hose barbs on side and lower arms
short length of black pol y comimg out of the bottom connecting to a barbed tap.

That's the sort of thing I'm after. Any idea what the outside clear tube is for? to show the level of oil?

Yep - and very useful it is too, not just for when you run out but also when filling up as with a funnel in the top it's hard to see the oil level.

I used an old Stihl oil bottle that has a window in it, so I can see how much oil I have, with a piece of rubber above and below the tap. I used 2 taps, one for the on/off, the other for the flow control, so I don't have to reset it each time I turn it off
