Yeah, I've got about the same blade life so far on the Woodmaster Bs - I've only had the saw running for a few weeks. The first blade lasted about 2 days of cutting, but not running the saw the whole time. Half of this was cutting half-dry (been on the ground for a year) stringy bark of some sort (3 x 4m long logs, 0.4 m diameter, and half on wet spotted gum (2 x 3.5 m logs 0.6m diameter). I twice sawed into the steel log stops by about 10mm, but this didn't seem to damage the blade at all ! Some dirt on and in the last log resulted in the most wear, I'll probably switch to a new one next time I cut as the finish is getting a bit wavy, but the old one still feels sharp to the touch - like you'd still use gloves to handle it. So far, I'm very impressed with these blades.
Graham.

There are to my knowledge no band manufacturers in Oz which is what you are seeing in the US. Here the suppliers buy a brand and re-sell it to you at your required length and to suit your intended use. For instance I bought a carbide tipped Lennox Trimaster from them fully knowing the brand.

Iv used about 30 blades so far both carbon (ripper37 and simmonds red streak) and bi-metal ( cant remember the brand)
If i was cutting .600mm x 5m ironbark (bark removed)
I would get 2-3 logs out of a carbon blade and 4-5 out of a bi-metal blade.
Mine are 185 inches
The carbon are about $75
The bi-metal are about $135
If you hit nails the bi-metal go straight through with no issues.
Carbon usually need a re-sharp.
