Blackwood pics
Milled a twisted(bent like a banana) head log of Blackwood last week..heres some pics showing very strange grain,which i have never seen in Blackwood before...nice colour too

Very nice. That's very unusual colour in that figured section. Never seen anything like it and I've seen a lot of blackwood.

I've milled something similar from a rough blackwood in Tassie. What you have looks great. What you can get out of some logs that the bigger millers wouldn't touch is interesting, makes straight grain stuff look boring - keep milling

I swear there must be bodies buried on your property! Their spirits seem to keep popping up in your logs. There may be some tricky questions to answer if an image resembling Donald Mackay shows up in one.

These pieces(Blackwood)off the saw today..weren't very big head logs,in fact,most folk would have disregarded them,but had hardly any sap..thought worth posting..MM
