    Default Bugger it

    Hi all
Had a stump section of chestnut in the shed for a few months which I decided to mill the other day. On inspection in daylight I found it riddled with borers and completely useless so it ended up in the firewood heap. I guess in hindsight it should have been felled rather than left to blow over which took a couple of years or maybe more, how time flies. Bugger it!

Oh well… as a once PM once said **** happens. Wood lovers come in all shapes and sizes
But on the bright side I have found that fiddleback and birdseye make good firewood if the wood is dry.
This happens to all of us...

Yeah wish it was birdseye fellas but unfortunately not. Reckon some heat will finish them off.
