Job Offer - hour North of Brissy
Hey everyone,
had a guy contact me, he has his own Lucas 827, front end loader with forks and a heap of logs, long story short he's been let down, by who he had lined up to do the cutting. He's now looking for someone to push his mill and process his logs into $'s.
Anyone interested let me know and I can pass on details.
He is wanting someone with experience sawing, but I've mentioned it may be difficult... failing that he might be looking at getting me to process his logs
Anyway let me knowI love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!
Allan.

Keith I'm sure he's looking to turn over his logs quickly, to make room for more coming and as such the last fella was supposed to be there 5 days a week.
Weekends probably wouldn't suit him. I have said to him, he will be hard pressed to find a miller (experienced) without a mill, so that his sawmill woudl be used and the miller work an hourly rate?? DunnoI love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

Yeah no worries Keith, I know sometimes we can't really do what others want but try and offer something which may help.
Metricky apparently he had 100 cube and has used up a little bit - maybe 10 cube from what I saw. So I figure about 85-90 cube to process, not glorious saw logs, but good enough to get timber from, maybe fencing grade. Not a lot of long logs and maybe a bit limited on structural timber, so as I say maybe best suited to fecning grade.
He has me starting there this week coming, so I'll see how things go, but I know it isn't the best situation for him; having a Lucas mill siting there and paying someone else to cut the timber, I'll see how it goesI love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

Just thought if only a couple weeks work could be a nice change from the cold down here this winter.
