Thanks for all those pics, you brought back nice memories of my dog and how he'd hang around when working in the shed, every bit of timber I docked, he'd wait next to the saw (no ear muffs mind you) and grab the offcut as soon as it hit the ground, then run off with it - as soon as the saw wound up, he'd be back to 'steal' the next offcut...

He was a great dog, he'd bark when you said 'speak', he'd shake hands with you and if put your right hand out then your left he'd swap paws but if you tried tricking him and put your left hand out trying to make it come from your right side, he'd still use his right paw to shake hands. Mother in Law once looked after the kids, when the missus and I went away for a weekend, we get a frustrated phone call early the next morning; 'the dog hasn't eaten his dinner - whats the word to get him to eat? I've been trying for hours to get him to eat his dinner!' It was great to hear he wouldn't eat is dinner without the password, I was really proud of him, really good dog.

Had to put the dog down... sometime after the picture below, he mauled this little fella so bad, we had to put both of them down, the Alpacas wounds where so bad, the vet felt it was the right thing to do for him and I felt it was the only thing I could do with the dog...

bugger that wasn't supposed to go down that path but thanks to you guys for bringing back great memories of a good friend
I love my Lucas!! ...just ask me!

Sad story Sigidi. Great dog till the last bit. My dog looks at me going to the shed and runs inside again to sleep on the bed.

Faithful hounds. I think mine may come to a sad ending too - he bites any hand that comes near him these days (except mine), might give Dr Harry a call. You wouldn't expect it from a dog who hides in a kitchen cupboard during a storm!

Is he a bull terrier? My sisters got a bit narkie in its old age. Thought it maybe had arthritis, cos she didn't want anyone to lean on her like they always did before. But we didn't have time to ascertain exactly hat was going on cos she went for one of the kids, and that was just beyond the pale. Might be worth a visit to the vet to make sure it isn't some pain that he has.

Everyones dogs are so great. I like the ear muffs.
