Looking for a miller for my logs
Hello John
I have a number of millable stringybark trees (60 cm up) x 50-60 and am looking to harvest. As your a sawmiller you might be the man to talk to.Are you after any logs?
Cheers Peter

John
I have only just seen this thread and your original post. I would just like to add.......but I can't because you covered it all. As usual articulate, comprehensive and sound.

There is a guy in the Davis Creek /Moonan area who does quite a lot of milling, but you would have to transport the logs to him. If you are interested I will try to dig out some details. The other option is to find somebody with a portable mill who is also competent and a request for interest placed in the Small Timber Milling section of these Forums would be the way to go.
A lot of this is dependent on what you want to do with the timber or whether you just want to sell logs.
If it is the latter I would recommend you read John.G's other epic thread.
What my log is worth

Farmer Peter, welcome to the forum.
Please list your logs in our Market Place where all for sale posts on this forum belong.
I have moved your posts from the other thread as that was considered a hi-jack of that thread.
This thread is now closed.
