When you say small slabs how big do you mean? I have some small redgum and blackwood slabs and am about an hour the other side of the funnel if you want to look at them.
I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.
Get your handsaws sharpened properly to the highest possible standard, the only way they should be done, BY HAND, BY ME!!! I only accept perfection in any saw I sharpen.

800 mm what? long? wide? thick?
what thickness do you want? how wide do you want them? when you say ready for finishing do you mean ready to plane or ready to lacquer? tell me what you want to use them for and you will find we may be able to help out better.I am told that sharpening handsaws is a dying art.... this must mean I am an artisan.

800mm & less in diameter or length, preferably round with bark (or surfboard shape), about 50mm thick, needs to be fairly flat as I am only able to belt sand them so can't be too ridged, will be using them to make coffee tables.
