Lucas Mill allignment
Alright all you Lucas mill owners I need a bit of help.
My Lucas mill seems to be out of alignment. I should of taken a few photos and put them up but forgot.
So I have been slabbing and everything has been running great.
Changed back to the blade and started cutting. On the horizontal cut moving forward the blade seems to ride up over the log instead of cutting into the log. On the vertical back cut the blade leaves a 5mm grove in the log. I messed around with a few of the adjustments but it seems to leave burns marks on the horizontal cut so I changed it back (adjustment 2). Changed adjustment 3 and seemed to have a little more luck. the cutting pattern of the blade is still not right and the blade is still riding up.
I am use to a bandsaw mill and am struggling. The blade was cutting like this before I changed to the chainsaw slabbing attachment so I don't think the alignment is a result of putting the slabber on.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Problem fixed
OK
So I did a bit of research and called the guys at Lucas Mill and what I came up with was the teeth on the blade were not set right. Put a new blade on and problem fixed. Very similar to a bandsaw mill. 99% of the problems are the blades, sharp/set.

Was the saw just blunt or had it been re-tipped?

Yes the teeth must be set perfectly
I always use 'Combined knife and Saw' at Deception Bay to re-tip all my blades
They are pedantic in their work and I always get a high quality finish on my sawn material because of their attention to detail...MMMapleman
