    Default More Lychee

    Slabbed up some more Lychee over the weekend. Some really nice colours and grain in this log. Can only think that this tree has better colour than the last due to the soil it was growing in.

    fantastic, you should put some feet on that, whack on a piece of glass and it would be a very impressive coffee table.

    Beautiful figure and colours in the heart of that fork. Love seeing new woods I'm not familar with.

    Certainly looks like some beautiful colours in that one, whether it lasts is another question. The splaying certainly also looks good, the tree was probably on its last legs

    I scored a heap from a neighbour that was red like that, although not spalted like yours, but unfortunately as it dried it all faded away to the standard pale pink.

    Yes, I found that also. Shame it doesn't stay the same colour when you first mill it.
