    Default Beautiful Mango

I have just showed these to my woodworking wife, she works with a lot of Mango and loves the wood. These will have some beautiful grain. We are slabbing some Mango at the moment and always looking for more. We picked up a small amount of olive wood today, stumps and root balls. They should come up nice. She will have to have a yarn with you soon.

Scrolling through mango burl images on google makes me think it'd be worth the effort.

What was the reason for the person to want the mango trees removed? if you don't mind me asking.

Firstly they are the turpentine variety and not a good chew!Secondly they are Bat (Flying Fox) chow and when fruiting the Bats move in .These folk have quite a few horses and kids running around the place and have decided, that upon risk assessment, the Mango trees must go,and they were sick and tired of picking the rotting things off the ground...here's one from today...MM

    Dear Mr Mapleman,
What a score!! Seems to me you got some kind of timber mojo. Looking forward to seeing the stuff you get out of them
