any marketable use for stone pine?
So I have access to a fresh 900 mm diameter stone pine about 6M long and wondered if anyone has found any marketable use? I see $50 slabs available online which doesn't really seem worth the time. Treated pine is cheap at Bunning's. Should I mill it at 45 x 200 and sell it for half price of KD structural pine for farm use? It's a nice, old straight log, so I hate to waste an opportunity to give it a new life as something useful. I can't find any price/use references online except a few pieces of furniture.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers!

Stone pine Pinus pinea isn't listed in the Wood Database which suggests that it's timber is mostly worthless.
What I can find on line suggests the tree is primarily cultivated for its edible nuts and appearance rather than its timber.
Most common use I can find for the timber is pulpwood -- not what you wanted to read. Sorry.
What I did find on line suggests that the wood is very resinous, and susceptible to decay which will limit its use even on a farm.regards from Alberta, Canada

Thanks for the reply Ian. I can rest assured I'm not stuffing anything up at least.
Cheers
